On June 18, 1942, his journey began at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City, Texas, with his parents Mr. James William Scales and Miss Katherine Woods. They had three sons together: the first, James William Scales Jr (Bill), followed by John Devoe Scales (John), and the youngest, Bob Scales (Bob).

 I am known as Om, or Pongpan Lunsimma. I am John's partner, and our relationship began in 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand when John was planning his move there. John is an incredibly kind and funny person, with the power to transform someone's life. He is my creator, and I love and miss him deeply.
